It all Started in London in 2001, being submerged in amazing gigs, house parties and meeting new lifetime ‘kindled-spirit’ friends. Seriously, how could you not like the vibe? In 2002 he started buying vinyl and purchased his first set of turntables. In 2003 he started playing at numerous house parties, the Bondi bar and also the infamous ‘Captain Cook’. Sadly at end of 2003 his visa had expired so it was back to NZ picking up gigs here and there briefly before he eventually decided to migrate to Melbourne.

Then he immediately started getting booked for epic house party gigs also playing out for the likes of Transcendence and Ignite. In more recent times he’s a regular playing at the very successful Rewind in Brisbane and Lockdown Legends parties and regular live streams on twitch for LDL. Shanos also hosts the ‘Monistry of Sound’, which is a Converted Church that he calls home, featuring the annual ever popular Halloween party.

Shanos’s style is a distinctive sound sporting a blend of heart pounding beats with a mixture of blinding energy. He weaves together sonic landscapes with phatt dirty base lines and the right amount of uplifting vibes to ignite the dancefloor to keep your toes tapping all night.
